To protect the waters of Lake Leelanau in perpetuity.
Friends accomplishes this goal through an endowment, the income from which is distributed to organizations focused on maintaining and improving the aquatic health of Lake Leelanau.

Friends of Lake Leelanau seeks to protect and preserve the health and beauty of Lake Leelanau and its surrounding watershed for future generations. Friends partners with people, organizations and institutions who share this goal.
